The number that appears in the parenthesis ( 0 ) indicates the number of days that this peony bloom in comparaison of the peony Red Charm, who serves as the stallion with 0 as the blooming period. You can stretch the flowering period of your peony gardens up to seven weeks in selecting cultivars/species with different blooming time.

(+3) One of the most beautiful hybrids of M. Saunders, very rare and very sought-after! Big semi-doubles flowers of a vivid red with a center of golden stamens. The beautiful red flowers keep their color and their intensity all along flowering. They are carried by strong stems. A splendid perennial!. Early-midseason bloomer. Large simple flower with pure white petals illuminated by pink stain marks at the basis of each petal and a well formed crown of yellow stamens in the center. Strong stems hold the flowers upright without any support. Extra early bloomer, one of the earliest to bloom in spring. Probably the more beautiful very early blooming peonies. Height: 80 cm

A charming new peony ! I love peony flowers with a blush color. I find them elegant and this one is no exception. As its name implies, her flowers are similar to those of a Camellia flower, either in shape and in color. Flowers are double, blush pearl at the opening and becoming white with blush accent in some external petals. Bears few secondary buds to extend the season. Upon the opening the flower is of a dark salmon pink and fade gently becoming of a very pale rose-abricot color at the end, almost white salmon. Fragrant. Stems extremely robust holding the flowers upright above the foliage without any support. Tall plant of 1 meter. Has received the ¨Grand champion¨ recognition from the American Peony Society in 1990. Charming little peony whose simple flowers, of a vivid rosem, look alike a tulip. On the flower bud, just before opening, we can see large white flares at the base of the petals contrasting prettily with the vivid rose of the rest of the petals. (0) A jewel of professor Saunders and one of my beloved ones. This peony is quite distinctive for others. Tall plant, long stems of a dark burgundy red with large simple flowers snow white with red line at the base of the petals. Luxuriant foliage, intense green, similar of the one of Archangel, i.e. macrophylla type. Many secondary buds extend the blooming season of this beautiful peony. It is an early bloomer. Fragrant. Here, it doesn’t need to be staked even if some growers recommand it. Very few divisions for sale.
