IMPORTANT NOTE :

The number that appears in the parenthesis ( 0 ) indicates the number of days that this peony bloom in comparaison of the peony Red Charm, who serves as the stallion with 0 as the blooming period. You can stretch the flowering period of your peony gardens up to seven weeks in selecting cultivars/species with different blooming time.

 
(+3) One of the most beautiful hybrids of M. Saunders, very rare and very sought-after! Big semi-doubles flowers of a vivid red with a center of golden stamens. The beautiful red flowers keep their color and their intensity all along flowering. They are carried by strong stems. A splendid perennial!. Early-midseason bloomer. Height 60 cm Slightly fertile, hybrid of first generation. Results a crossing between Paeonia lactiflora Marie Jacquin and P. Peregrina Perry (syn: officinalis Perry lobata).
(-3)...A spectacular hybrid from Mr Sauders' work whose mark of distinction is its luxuriant foliage. This beautiful peony will illuminated your garden all summer. First, with its huge simple flowers of a pure white emerging early in the season (0) and where the blooming season is extended by numerous secondary buds. And the foliage·.Extraordinary and gigantic foliage of a macrophylla type who will capture visitor's eyes until September. Strong stems holding upright the flowers. Height: 85 cm. Surprisingly, a relatively rare peony on the market even if it would deserves to be better recognized. Large double red flowers with gold edging. Plant of 90 cm, tall enough. Better viewed in the landscape with a support but the flower deserves a try. Excellent cut flower. Early mid-season bloomer. Limited quantities !
(-11) A great lady from Mr Saunders' work (P. lactiflora x (P. officinalis x (P. mlokosewitschii x macrophylla)). Rare and hard to find but so easy of culture ! Large simple flower with pure white petals illuminated by pink stain marks at the basis of each petal and a well formed crown of yellow stamens in the center. Strong stems hold the flowers upright without any support. Extra early bloomer, one of the earliest to bloom in spring. Probably the more beautiful very early blooming peonies. Height: 80 cm
(+5) Strongly fragrant as its name let us feel….A seedling of the well known peony Mons. Jules Elie. Beautiful flowers, double form, of a vivid pink with sparse golden stamens throughought. Tall peony with strong stems. A support will improve the presentation in the landscape. Mid-season bloomer.
(+6) Pink peony of a statuesque beauty. The stems are extremely strong et hold upright , without any support, the beautiful semi-double to double flowers. Of a dark pink upon the opening, the upper part of the petals fade prettily giving a silver effect whereas the flower center keeps its dark pink color. Will capture attention for sure! Height : 95 cm. Mid-season bloomer. Excellent peony for the landscape either for its beautiful flowers or for the general presentation of the plant.
A spectacular hybrid of professor Saunders….rare et sought after ! Tall peony with large flowers, simple form, with dark red petals (in French :color Bordeaux). The large center is similar to a japanese form flower bearing golden stamens with dark red petals interspaced. A very showy peony ! Straight rigid stems bearing their flowers without any support. Bloom at the beginning of mid-season. Only few divisions.
(+12) A truly beautiful bomb type flower, mainly white with few creamy lines in the center. The strong stems are able to support the big flowers. Extremely floriferous, each stem bears 3 to 4 flower buds. Do not hesitate to cut these beautiful flowers to enjoy them longer in your house. Height 75 cm. Mid-season bloomer. Pure beauty !
A charming new peony ! I love peony flowers with a blush color. I find them elegant and this one is no exception. As its name implies, her flowers are similar to those of a Camellia flower, either in shape and in color. Flowers are double, blush pearl at the opening and becoming white with blush accent in some external petals. Bears few secondary buds to extend the season. Good fragrance and excellent strong stems bearing the flowers. Plant of 85-90 cm. Reliable and floriferous. Mid-season bloomer.
One of the rare herbaceous peonies from the breeder Roger Anderson, originator of the most beautiful Intersectional hybrids like gorgeous Bartzella. Like all his peonies, stems are strong and support the flowers without any support. Medium size double flowers. Showy flowers with a mix white and rasperry-red flowers petals. Floriferous plant, very reliable. Tall peony of 90 cm. Light perfume. Late mid-season bloomer. Limited quantities.
(+13) A beautiful late bloomer japanese peony! Dark red flowers, with guard petals and center of the same color except some golden notes in the center. Very strong stems holding upright the flowers above foliage. Late bloomer. Height of 90 cm. Excellent choice to extend the blooming season.
The classic double flower but on a very strong plant! This late bloomer constitutes an excellent choice to extend the season of your peony garden. Chiffon Parfait bears beautiful double flowers of a soft salmon-pink colour. Many rows of tights petals give to this flower a ball form. Very floriferous. Each stem bears many bud's flower. A circus of beauty! I really love this peony. Luminous semi-doubles flowers of Cactus Dalhia style, completely crazy. Each flower has irregulars petals of a mix color of white and red. The plant is completely covered with flowers with strong stems. No support is required. The flowers are held high over the foliage. Plant of 80-85 cm Beginning of mid-season bloomer. Slightly fragrant. Adorable.
(-9) Romantic name for this peony of a pale yellow. Clair de Lune is a unique treasure because it is the only progeny of many thousands crosses done between Mons Jules Elie and the yellow species peony Mlokosewitschii. Splendid specimen with simple flower bearing many rows of undulated petals of a soft yellow. Robust plant with strong stems. Early bloomer. Plant of 85 cm. Limited.

(+7) One of the very best herbaceous peonies! Coral Sunset is a jewel in a garden! Large semi-double flowers with a cup form of a marvelous abricot-coral-pinky color at the opening The color fades prettily to become finally of a nice creamy-yellow tone. The same mature plant bear flowers with many different fading stages from all abricot-coral to completely creamy-yellow. Marvelous! The flowers are held upright well above the beautiful foliage . Very strong stems. No support needed. Tall plant of more than 80 cm. Blooms at the beginning of mid-season. Number one plant either for landscape and cut flowers.
(+7) A japanese jewel ! Beautiful flower, of japanese form with a white pearl to light pink ball center surrounded by large external petals of a rasperry pink. Large flowers well supported by strong stems. Plant of 85 cm. Many secondary buds to extend the blooming season. Fragrant. Mid-season bloomer. Like a <<Japanese>> pearl in your garden !

A Cactus dalhia style peony with simple flower with petals strongly cut and undulated. Each petal bear a crazy color mix of white, green with red candy lines. Good stems. Plant of 95 cm. Lightly fragrant. As its name tells : a completely crazy look!

Beautiful japanese peony with dark red flowers. A relatively new peony from the breeder Krekler. Tall plant, 90 cm, with large flowers of japanese. Flower center is showy : a huge pompom formed from golden stamens with large dark red petaloïdes throughought. Colorfull ! This vivid center is surrounded by large dark red petals. (-4) A fairly new introduction of the breeder Don Hollingsworth. Excellent perennial for the garden with beautiful foliage all season long. Simple flower form with slightly undulated petals of a pale yellow and a golden center with red accents coming from the carpels. Beginning of mid-season bloomer. Plant of 85 cm. Fertile hybrid with an impressive genetic (Roselette’s Grandchild x Cream Delight) deserving to be well used in breeding.

(+5) Wow ! Extraordinary peony from a Canadian breeder ! Always in great demand! Big double flowers of a superb salmon pink with the petals forming a extremely compact center. Upon the opening the flower is of a dark salmon pink and fade gently becoming of a very pale rose-abricot color at the end, almost white salmon. Fragrant. Stems extremely robust holding the flowers upright above the foliage without any support. Tall plant of 1 meter. Has received the ¨Grand champion¨ recognition from the American Peony Society in 1990. Mid-season bloomer. Without any doubt, this peony will become the beloved one of your garden. Only few divisions available.
(-8) Another beautiful creation of professor Saunders. Large and luminous simple flower of a dark pink at the opening which quickly fades to a pale pink. Contrasting rasperry flares at the base of each petal complete the beauty of this spring flower. Early bloomer. Slightly fragrant. Plant of 90 cm. For a luminous spring garden !

Charming little peony whose simple flowers, of a vivid rosem, look alike a tulip. On the flower bud, just before opening, we can see large white flares at the base of the petals contrasting prettily with the vivid rose of the rest of the petals. Flowers open completely and fade giving a greying accent at the border of the petals. Excellent stems strenght. Slightly fragrant. Compact plant of 65 cm. Really, a surprising peony by its charming beauty.

(+11) Large japanese flower of a soft pink. Pale yellow stamens form the center of the flower. Extremely floriferous. Flowers are held on strong stems, no support is required. Beautiful foliage forming a small bush. End of mid-season bloomer. Fragrant. Plant of 80-85cm. Beautiful peony for the landscape, easy of culture.

(0) A jewel of professor Saunders and one of my beloved ones. This peony is quite distinctive for others. Tall plant, long stems of a dark burgundy red with large simple flowers snow white with red line at the base of the petals. Luxuriant foliage, intense green, similar of the one of Archangel, i.e. macrophylla type. Many secondary buds extend the blooming season of this beautiful peony. It is an early bloomer. Fragrant. Here, it doesn’t need to be staked even if some growers recommand it. Very few divisions for sale.

( +18) Charming! You wont be able to resist to the charm of this delightful double peony ! Large petals of a pale pink surround a golden center on top of which we see a little nest of petals of the same pale pink. Vigorous plant with strong upright stems. Height of 80 cm. Mid-season bloomer. A true beauty !
