(-6) Still, another of my beloved from professor Saunders. A rare jewel. Beautiful foliage with round forms on a compact plant. The foliage is redding on emergence but become green when fully open during summer. However, the stems keep this nice red color. Flowers are simple form and their beauty is really difficult to describe. Blush petals with lavender-pink flares at the base and a beautiful center of golden stamens and red anthers complete the picture. A really beautiful flower on a very early blooming peony. Only few divisions nant of 90 cm. Mid-season bloomer.

A beautiful double for the cut flowers. I grow this peony mainly for this purpose : making floral arrangement. A splendid peony bearing large doubles flowers, white-cream color without any trace of red. Reliable and floriferous. Good fragrance. Plant of 80 cm. End of mid-season bloomer. Good stems but a support will improve the presentation. Better pictures to come after 2008 blooming season.

(-2 ) A jewel, extremely rare, from professor Saunders. Lavender is a strain of peonies originating from a cross between the peonies Albiflora & Coriacea. It is a simple flower of a soft lavender color which fades to a pale lavender. The flower center is formed with golden stamens and dark lavender or burgundy carpels, contrasting prettily with the lavender coloration fo the petals. Really beautiful flower! Some growers report difficulties to grow this plant but here, it grows very easily! It seems to appreciate our Siberian Saguenay winter! The stems are strong, no support is required. Plant of 75 cm. A rare pearl in a garden

(-23) Spring beauty, as fast as Early Bird and Tenuifolia. A distinctive hybrid from the Reath family. Distinct either by its earliness to bloom than by its wonderful finely cut foliage coming from its tenuifolia origins. Foliage is less divided than Early Bird. In fact, it gives the impression of a feathery ball of green foliage over which appears little red simple flowers. Strong stems and foliage. Little plant of 40 cm. For the rock garden or in front position of our garden. A real pleasure to see this peony emerging in the early spring!

(+10) A very different look ! First, the plant can hold simple and semi-double flowers. And the petals are long and strongly cut giving a shape like a modified daisy. Finally, a superb contrast between the white petals and the center with golden stamens & red carpels. Beautiful! Plant of 80 cm. Mid-season bloomer. Excellent in floral arrangements.

Relatively new on the market ! I love semi-double flowers peonies and this one is part of my cheering ! Pretty semi-double flower of a very light pink, almost white. The golden stamens center surrounded red stigmas giving a contrast similar as Minnie Shaylor. Good stems. Height of 70 cm. Blooms at mid-season. For semi-double peony lovers!

(+5) Pretty Miss who well deserves its name of a Beauty contest winner. In fact, this beautiful peony has won twice the Gold medal from the American Peony Society, in 1956 and again in 1971. Pure white semi-double flower with a center of golden stamens. Strong stems. Fragrant flower. High quality peony either for the garden or for the cut flower uses. Mid-season bloomer. Height: 90 cm. Very fertile peony·.suggestion for those interested in breeding. Miss America is always a winner's buy!

(-1) Beautiful hybrid with creamy yellow flowers. Large centeer of golden stamens. Fertile and…beloved by the bees. The flowers are litterally covered by them when in bloom. Early bloomer. Plant of 85 cm. Nice foliage and strong stems. A number 1 plant for the garden and a good peony for breeders!

(+4) Another pearl from professor Saunders. Pretty semi-doubles flowers, cup shape, of a cherry red. No fault plant with flowers well supported by the strong stems, over the foliage. Foliage forms a splendid little bush. Mid-season bloomer. Plant of 85 cm. Only 3 divisions available.

(-17) A very early bloomer. This charming peony blooms at the very beginning of the season. Its delicate flowers, simple form, are of a mix of pink, salmon and cream colors. Fertile, a special note for those interested in breeding. Strong stems bearing the flowers well erected over the foliage. Very light perfume. A finely cut foliage originating from it Paeonia tenuifolia parentage.

(+1) Nice peony with semi-double flowers hold closed to the foliage by extremely strong stems. No support is needed. Each flower has 5 rows of petals of a vivid rose opening on a center of golden stamens. Very pretty contrast! Second generation hybrid (F2) where the great fertility has led to the creation of many marvelous new peonies on the market including Salmon Dream, Royal Rose and the extraordinary Lemon Chiffon. Gold medal winner from the American Peony Society in 1988. Blooms early in the mid-saison. Tall plant of 90 cm.

(+10) A truly elegant peony ! Extremely beautiful peony with an original pattern of flower's colour. Semi-double flower made of a blend of rose and creamy-yellow. In fact, the lower part of each petal is creamy-yellow but the upper part is of a vivid pink with lightly crumpled margins. A picotee effect! The large flowers a held upright on straight stems. Height of 70-75 cm. Blooms at mid-season. Elegant and unique !

(+11) All softness…Pillow Talk has very large double flowers of rose shape. Beautiful flowers of a soft pink, baby pink. Tall plant of 90-95 cm. Good fragrance. Mid-season bloomer. Excellent cut flowers with good vase life. For the landscape, even if the stems are strong, flowers are huge so a support will improve the presentation. American Peony Society Gold Medal winner in 1994.

(+4) Tropical beauty of a coral reef colour in·our northern gardens! Marvelous semi-double flowers of a rose form. Splendid rose-coral colour with a nice golden center. As the flower ages, the color fades gradually to become a very light coral, almost cream. It leads the show in the garden with flowers of a multitude range of colour's pattern on a mature plants! Good foliage and strong stems able to support the large flowers without support. Bloom at the beginning of mid-season. Tall plant of more than 90 cm. Fragrant. Award winner of the gold medal from the American Peony Society in 2000. What else can you ask?

(+2) One of my newest acquisitions of <<Cactus Dalhia Style>> peonies. I really like them not only for their charming look but for the general beauty of the plant whose flowers stand straight on the rigid stems. Pink Luau is no exception. The flowers are a little bigger than Circus Circus or Pink Spritzer and very very special…I love them. They are semi-double and look like a pink daisy. In fact, petals are light pink with rasperry-pink at the external sides. The flower opens like a beach parasol. Pink Luau is not only a good garden plant but the flowers make splendid bouquets with a good vase life. Plant of 90 cm. Blooms at the beginning of mid-season. Light perfume. Lovely….

(+21) A grand grand-child of the very well known peony Mons Jules Elie. As robust and resistant as its ancestor but with stronger stems. Large pink flower of a rose form. The outer petals fade prettily giving a superb silver look to the flower. Slightly fragrant. A very late bloomer. Plant of 90 cm.

Really reallly different ! Pink Spritzer bears small simple flowers with extremely curled petals whose colors are a mix of green, rose and creamy-white. Strong stems holding the flowers upright without any problem. Slightly fragrant. Plant of 80 cm. Mid-season bloomer. Each time a new flower opens, it is like discovering a treasure ! Limited. Only 5 divisions.

(+5) The prized and rare Prairie Moon. At the opening, flowers are of a splendid pale yellow fading soflty to a more ivory color with greenish accent a the base of the petals. The flower is simple to semi-double on very supportive stems. No support required. The flower is beautiful and attracts the attention from afar. However, the foliage is not as good. Very few seeds. Blooms at the beginning of mid-season. Plant of 85 cm.
